The Health and Fitness Game Plan...

I've been thinking a lot about how I want to approach getting healthy and fit again without keto and I think I've come up with a decent game plan. I'm going to officially start on Thursday because that will be my weigh-in day again.

I've decided to go back to weighing-in once a week instead of once a month for a very good reason because my brain sees that I don't have to weigh-in for a whole month and goes... "oh, now you can eat everything you want for days and days because you still have a whole month to re-lose that weight." and until I can get that portion of my brain under the control, the best thing for me to do is to know I will be weighing-in weekly. I'll still be doing my measurements once a month though like I used to.

I also need to focus on more protein and I don't want to do with protein shakes because they cause issues for me. I've made progress with protein and getting it from food but it still doesn't even come close to what my macros say it should be so if I double my portions of the rotisserie chicken or shrimp or whatever, that should make a big difference in my protein macros.

My carbs and fat is in a good place so I don't really need to worry about those. I actually seem to do really well when my net carbs are in the 60's and 70's and that's not hard for me to do. The problem arises when I reintroduce simple carbs and sugars into my days so those need to be few and far between and more like special occasion foods than an every day thing.

My workout plan is printed and ready to go and I just need to feel a little better before starting it but whether or not I have this unending headache, I will work out on Thursday. I'm also going back to doing 10,000 steps a day starting Thursday. That always made me feel good and all I need to do is get up once an hour and walk for 1,000 steps (or 10 minutes) or whatever comes first. I think that will make a huge change in my fitness levels.

As for the rest, I'll still be weighing and measuring my food, tracking my calories and macros and doing everything I did on keto to make things work without actually doing keto and we'll see how it goes. I think it's going to go really well but only time will tell!
